Fish Inspection and Quality Control (FIQC) Khulna Launch it’s activities in 1975-76 fiscal year in a view of ensuring quality of exportable fish and fishery product Originated from Khulna area. Initially FIQC Khulna started it’s activities with 13 staffs and officers in a rented house. Where a mini microbiological laboratory was also established in 1997 as per requirements of EU the Laboratory was transferred to existing building at Boyra, Khulna. Modern chemical and microbiological laboratory is already established by the financial assistance of UNIDO which will be accredited. After accreditation with necessary equipment /machines FIQC, Khulna is able to meet up the demand of exporter to ease the export of fishery product by complying testing activities as per EU & USFDA requirement.
